Golf Injury Physiotherapy for Women in Clapham
Lower back pain after a round, elbow pain when you grip the club, or a sore wrist or shoulder from your swing? Olivia offers golf injury physiotherapy for women at our Clapham clinic.
Common Golf Injuries
As part of our sports physiotherapy for women, Olivia treats golf injuries in Clapham. The golf swing puts repeated load through your back, hips, elbows and wrists, so she looks at strength and mobility across your whole body.
Lower Back Pain
The rotation of the golf swing can aggravate back pain. See our lower back pain page.
Golfer's and Tennis Elbow
Pain on the inside or outside of the elbow from gripping and repeated swings. See our tennis and golfer’s elbow page.
Wrist Pain
Pain in the wrist from impact or repeated swings. See our wrist and De Quervain’s pages.
Shoulder Pain
Pain at the top or front of the shoulder during your backswing or follow-through. See our rotator cuff page.
Hip Pain and Stiffness
Stiff or painful hips can limit your turn and put more strain on your back. See our hip physiotherapy page, including hip osteoarthritis.
Playing With Osteoporosis
If you have osteoporosis or osteopenia, Olivia can help you keep playing with strength work suited to your bones. See our bone health page.

- Can physiotherapy help golf-related back pain?
Yes. Physiotherapy can ease pain and build strength and mobility so your back copes better with the swing.
- Is golfer's elbow only caused by golf?
No. It is caused by repeated gripping and wrist movements, so it is common in many activities.
- Do you change my golf swing?
Olivia does not coach golf, but she can identify movement limits that may be worth discussing with your golf professional.
- Can I play golf after a hip replacement?
Many people do, once their surgeon is happy. Olivia can guide your rehab back to golf.
- Do I need a referral?
No, you can book directly with Olivia without a referral.
What our patients say
What I’ve appreciated most is how comfortable and at ease she makes you feel. She is kind, understanding and non judgemental, which makes talking about things that can sometimes feel quite personal so much easier. She always takes the time to listen and explains everything clearly, and the exercises are tailored to what I feel comfortable with.
I’m really grateful for all her support and would definitely recommend Olivia to anyone looking for postnatal or pelvic floor support.
