Cycling Injury Physiotherapy for Women in Clapham
Knee pain on longer rides, an aching back or neck, or numb hands on the bike? Olivia offers cycling injury physiotherapy for women at our Clapham clinic, for commuters, road riders and indoor cyclists.
Common Cycling Injuries
As part of our sports physiotherapy for women, Olivia treats cycling injuries in Clapham. Most cycling pain comes from repetitive load, so treatment focuses on strength, mobility and your training, and she can suggest when it is worth getting a bike fit.
Knee Pain
Pain at the front or outside of the knee, often from repetitive pedalling. See runner’s knee, patellar tendinopathy and IT band.
Lower Back Pain
Aching in your lower back on longer rides or climbs. See our lower back pain page.
Neck and Shoulder Pain
Stiffness from holding your head up in a riding position. See our neck physiotherapy page.
Hand and Wrist Numbness
Tingling or numbness in your fingers from pressure on the handlebars. See our carpal tunnel page.
Hip and Pelvic Pain
Pain at the front of the hip or around the pelvis, sometimes linked to saddle position. See hip and pelvis and SI joint physiotherapy.
Saddle Discomfort and the Pelvic Floor
Pressure from the saddle can cause pelvic or vulval discomfort. Our pelvic floor physiotherapy can help if you have ongoing symptoms.

What our patients say
What I’ve appreciated most is how comfortable and at ease she makes you feel. She is kind, understanding and non judgemental, which makes talking about things that can sometimes feel quite personal so much easier. She always takes the time to listen and explains everything clearly, and the exercises are tailored to what I feel comfortable with.
I’m really grateful for all her support and would definitely recommend Olivia to anyone looking for postnatal or pelvic floor support.
